Professor Connolly is very excited to announce that OSIRIS-REx, which is a sample return mission to asteroid RQ36 and lead by P.I. Professor Mike Drake and Deputy P.I. Professor Dante Lauretta, was selected to fly by NASA on 25 May 2011. Professor Connolly is a Co-I on this grant. He has several roles but the major management role is Lead for all Sample Analysis. The samples will return in 2021! The NASA press release is found here.
